Today I had the amazing opportunity to represent TorahTutors.org at a local business fair and family fun day.
I thought the event was very well done, with incentives to encourage people to visit every booth. I had to provide a question in advance that people would come ask me, at which point I could sign off that they’d come by. Those who completed their signature collection would be eligible for a raffle.
Apparently some of the businesses were happy to sign off without any question or discussion, but I follow instructions!
My question was “Who can benefit from TorahTutors.org?“
I had fun with some of the kids who came up, turning the question on them – after filling them in on the basics of what we do (teach Torah) – and they had some great responses:
“Everyone”
“Me!”
“Jewish people who haven’t learned?”
“Both [the tutor and the student]”
I loved that one – I hope all our students realize teachers also benefit from their learning together!
My own planned answer was:
Everyone – adults, kids, those with or without a background in Jewish learning, in day school or not… anywhere and anytime!
I had some great conversations with adults as well as kids, gave away lots of bookmarks, and generally had a great time getting the word out about TorahTutors.org.

And I even met Bluey and Bingo!

Did you think we didn’t really mean it when we said “everyone”?
