After technical difficulties interfered with some of TorahTutors’ scheduled time at the Torah Home Education virtual conference two weeks ago, we were pleased that conference organizers were able to create a new opportunity for those who might have missed us the first time around.
This time, Director and tutor Sarah Rudolph was joined by two other tutors, Mrs. Natanya Mann and Rabbi Dr. Stuart Fischman.
The tutors and visitors enjoyed lively discussion about TorahTutors, homeschooling in general, and the joys of education in all its forms. Rabbi Fischman, who has been with TorahTutors since its inception, shared some background on how the site developed out of requests from WebYeshiva students for more individualized instruction. Mrs. Mann, one of our newest tutors but with extensive prior experience in Jewish education, talked about her educational philosophy and how she shapes her goals and approach to each student. Mrs. Rudolph offered some anecdotes about her experiences learning with TorahTutors students across the U.S. and shared that even after almost eight years, she remains amazed at what TorahTutors is able to accomplish through online learning.
Supporting Jewish homeschooling is just one of the many ways TorahTutors can help spread Jewish text study, and we look forward to more opportunities to connect with homeschool families!
